An internship in a clinic is about deepening theoretical knowledge and acquiring practical skills necessary in general medical practice.
Information to familiarize yourself with the work of the clinic
The interns’ responsibilities include: observing and monitoring the course of medical appointments, measuring blood pressure, pulse, temperature at the doctor’s request, conducting rapid testing, assisting at the reception, working with the program, making referrals and prescriptions, inviting patients, and printing consultative reports.
Advantages of internship in our clinic
- When drawing up a weekly schedule, interns have the opportunity to choose the number of hours they want to attend this month and convenient shifts for on-call, as well as internships with family doctors and/or subspecialists.
- During the internship, each of the observers will be able to improve their level of knowledge and practical skills using various new technologies.
- Opportunity for continuous development. From time to time, we hold special trainings to educate interns and doctors of the clinic and everyone else.
- Upon completion of the internship, the interns will be issued a certificate of completion, which will testify to the achievements and skills acquired during their work at the clinic.
About the visit schedule 📆
- Every Sunday, the supervisor forms a work schedule for family doctors and subspecialists.
- You choose your free hours and sign up for an internship (a link with access to the schedule is sent to those interns who have paid for the internship).
- If you have certain circumstances that prevent you from attending the internship, you must notify your supervisor.
- The reception has a yellow notebook for recording working hours.
- Each time after admission to the clinic, each intern/observer must make a note in this notebook (beginning of the internship, end of the internship, number of hours, signature).
- If your name is not in the notebook, please sign in yourself.
- Writing in a notebook is very important because this way I will be able to calculate the actual hours of the internship that will need to be paid at the end of the month.
More information about internship payment 📚
To begin with, we recommend paying for the first 10 hours for newcomers so that they understand exactly how the internship works and how much time they want to spend on it in the future. To do this, each trainee chooses the number of hours he or she wants to attend this month and pays using the details at the rate of 1 hour = 50 hryvnias, indicating “Educational services” in the payment purpose. P.S.: the minimum number of hours of internship in the clinic is 10 hours, if these hours are not used in a month, they are canceled!
Appearance
Each trainee observer must have his or her own uniform:
- a T-shirt with the clinic logo, which you can purchase at will, the initial cost is from 500 UAH (charitable contribution to the development of the clinic)
- medical gown or medical suit
- changeable footwear
- own stetho/phonendoscope
- no perfume or other strong aromatic substances on the body during your stay in the clinic
Certificate of completion of the internship
Upon completion of the internship, the interns will be issued a certificate of completion, which will testify to the achievements and skills acquired during their work at the clinic. The minimum internship period for obtaining a certificate is 40 hours.
