“ABC training course for junior scientists in family medicine completed in Budapest
The excellent hospitality of Professor Peter Torcho, Head of the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Zemmelweis, and the organization of the course were top notch.
We are proud to realize that the unique ABC branded course was born in Ukraine 7 years ago, each part of the course was held in different cities of Ukraine before the war started, in Kyiv, Odesa and Uzhhorod.
The “parents” of the course were Pavlo Kolesnyk, a family doctor and teacher from Ukraine and Michael Harris, a family doctor and professor from the UK. The group was later joined by Professor of Statistics Gordon Taylor from the UK.
ABC graduates from Ukraine continue their postgraduate studies, many of whom have already defended their dissertations.
The purpose of the ABC course is to create a friendly atmosphere and team spirit for the birth and implementation of new scientific projects in the field of family medicine.
Our Hungarian colleagues showed an excellent level of preparation and presented their projects to the jury.
Subsequently, the best project, according to the voting results, will be presented at the European EGPRN conference.
Meanwhile, the ABC course, born in Ukraine, is moving across Europeyoung scientists in Bulgaria and family doctors in the Czech Republic will soon graduate from the course.
