Tactical medicine fundamentals from the US expert

This training will familiarize and practice the following skills of TCCS-ASM:

  • Completing a personal first aid kit
  • Assisting the wounded under fire
  • Basic principles of assisting the wounded in tactical conditions
  • Assessment of traumatic injuries in tactical conditions
  • MARCH protocol
  • Control of massive bleeding
  • Restoration of airway patency
  • Assessment and control of respiratory processes
  • Control of blood circulation

The practice is shown on our realistic mannequin named Caesar.

At the end of the training, an express seminar on acupuncture on the battlefield for emergency treatment of pain and stress will be held by Siliya Hildebrand.

 

About the lecturers

Tony McCarty

U.S. Army Retired, is an instructor of Combat Tactics and Medicine. He has assisted in over 25 countries and in 6 different war zones over the last 30 years. His extensive background in disaster management, post disaster relief, and combat operations in austere asymmetric environments makes him a force multiplier. He has trained more than 1500 Ukrainian soldiers, doctors, professors, and civilians in combat tactics and medicine since March 2022. His training extends from Medkya, Poland through Lviv and to Kyiv. In Kyiv he is hosted as the primary TACMED Instructor at the Bogolomets National Medical University.
